BATTAMBANG: Six suspects were arrested for killing a man in Battambang province on Sunday, 9 April 2023. The man was rushed to the hospital after the incident, however, died shortly after from his injuries.

The shooting occurred in Thmor Koul District of Battambang Province. The Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Minor Criminal Police, Lt. Col. Chhoeung Kimsong, confirmed that the six suspects were arrested at around 11 am on Tuesday, in Ochar district of Battambang city. Five motorcycles and one pistol were also confiscated. The suspects soon after confessed to the shooting.

The victim, 28-year-old Roeung Polo, was a resident of Boeung Pring Commune in Thmor Kol District of Battambang Province. He was shot on the left side of his chest and died from the injuries sustained while at the hospital.

The six suspects are currently being investigated by the Serious Crimes Police Office and have been sent to the Battambang Provincial Court for further legal proceedings.
